Mesker Park Zoo Extend Hours During “Twilight Tuesdays” All Month Long
Let’s be clear, this has nothing to do with sparkling vampires or being hairy, strikingly handsome werewolves. So, sorry if I got your hopes up.
Technically there WILL be wolves, but they’ll be actual wolves. The kind that are always wolves and don’t change to shirtless, well-chiseled humans in the daylight, or whatever their story is. No, the point of Twilight Tuesday’s at Mesker Park Zoo and Botanic Garden is to give Evansville residents the opportunity to enjoy our fantastic zoo for a few extra hours on Tuesday nights throughout the month of August.
Now that school is up and running for the entire Tri-State, making a trip to the zoo during the week is difficult, especially when the normal operating hours end at 4PM every day. That problem is solved with Twilight Tuesday’s. I’ve also heard, although I’ve not had a chance to see it myself yet, that the animals are more active in the later afternoon / early evening hours which gives visitors a chance to see them from an all new perspective.
While I think you should take every chance to support Mesker Park Zoo because its awesome, I encourage you to take advantage of Twilight Tuesday’s with your family and see for yourself. Hopefully I’ll see you there.
