Mater Dei Girls Basketball Team Wins Second State Title

For the second straight year, the Mater Dei Lady Wildcats basketball team are bringing the Class 2A state title home to Evansville.

Led by Tori Schickel's 18 points and 17 rebounds, the Lady Wildcats rolled to a 20 point win over the Eastern Greentown Comets, who were making their first appearance in the state championship game, 62-42.

As a Class of '95 Mater Dei grad, let me say "Congratulations!" on a great season and a job well done! Way to make us proud!
