Man Behind Adele’s Grammy Winning Lyrics Revealed
“Rolling in the Deep,” “Someone Like You,” and almost every other song on Adele‘s Grammy Award winning album 21 were famously inspired by a failed relationship that wasn’t Adele’s idea to end. The man responsible for all her misery had been a mystery…until now (cue dramatic chipmunk).
Introducing Slinky Winfield. That’s right…Slinky. Winfield. ABC News reports that an unnamed source revealed Mr. Winfield as the guy who broke Adele’s heart and in turn gave the world a huge hit album.
So who is this guy? He’s a 25 year old musician who goes by the stage name, Slinky Sunbeam. Yep. Slinky…well, you get the idea.
Adele has said the two simply grew apart, however the source tells a different story saying the relationship came to an end when Winfield (or Sunbeam, whatever) got involved with a Burberry model. It was also noted by the source that Slinky was the “life and soul of the party” and that the relationship “was always going to end in tears, and those tears were always going to be Adele’s.”
It’s hard to believe that these two were ever an item considering their different styles in appearance alone. Even though it obviously seemed like a dark time in her life based solely on her lyrics, it’s clear that her brief period of misery has become her biggest triumph.
