A magical fairy tale trip is being provided by some very generous local businesses as Ark Crisis Center gears up for their 'Magical Fairy Tale Ball.' And, they need YOUR help too. Get the details!

Our friend and the Executive Director of Ark, Angie Richards Cooley sent us this press release.....

The children at Ark Crisis Child Care Center are benefiting from some “Bibbidi Bobbidi Boo” as generous donors send the kids to see the new Cinderella movie on Monday, March 16th at Showplace Cinemas East. SCE is providing tickets for Ark’s preschoolers to see the movie, Ark’s board of directors provided funds for snacks and Feller Limousine is providing transportation.

The Cinderella movie release kicks off promotions for Ark’s upcoming 2rd annual Magical Fairy Tale Ball, presented by Cold Stone Creamery & Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory. A commercial for the event will air before the Cinderella movie for the next two weeks at Showplace East and Newburgh locations.

The Magical Fairy Tale Ball is a family-centered event featuring dinner, dancing, crafts, photos, story time, carriage rides and the chance to meet your favorite fairy tale characters including Cinderella, Prince Charming and many others.

One-hundred Ark children and family members will attend the ball, thanks to “Fairy Godparent” sponsors who underwrite the cost of the tickets. Anyone can become a Fairy Godparent by making a $25 donation to Ark. Many of the children who are sponsored to attend the Fairy Tale Ball may be living in poverty, in homeless or domestic violence shelters or may be involved in the Department of Children’s Services (DCS) due to abuse or neglect. Without a sponsor, many of the children would not be able to attend an event like the Fairy Tale Ball.

“As a small, not-for-profit organization, we rely on the generosity of the community to be able to provide care and wonderful experiences for the children and families we serve. This is one example of how generous donors make sure Ark’s kids feel loved and cared for,” said Ark’s Executive Director, Angie Richards Cooley.

Ark Crisis Child Care Center is the only licensed crisis care center in southern Indiana – serving children ages six weeks to six years. Ark provides free care for children of families in stress due to medical, financial or housing needs, counseling, or abusive situations. Child care is provided free of charge to any family in need regardless of income, race, gender or national origin.  No emergency cases are ever denied services.

Become a Fairy Godparent here! :-)
