Looking for a creative outlet for your child or children? Don’t miss out on the Patchwork Central after school program that will begin on the Tuesday after Labor Day. It runs Monday-Thursday tentatively scheduled from 2:30-5:00. Patchwork Central is located at 100 Washington Ave. in Evansville, and according to Amy Rich Co-Director of Patchwork Central, “Activities include one-on-one tutoring for grades 1-5 and a variety of other activities for grades 2 and up.

Activities change based on the interests of the children and the interests and talents of our staff and volunteers, but they emphasize visual art. They also include reading, substance abuse prevention, cooking, gardening, and physical activity. Middle schoolers begin to gain leadership skills and teens can be teen volunteers who build these skills even more. We work to have a high ratio of adults to children to help insure each child's success.

At Patchwork, every child finds a place where their interests are supported and they know there are adults who care about them and their future success. All programming is offered at no cost. We're always looking for both participants and volunteers.” For more information or to fill out an application, visit the Patchwork Central website at www.patchwork.org.
