If I may borrow a line, "are you ready for some football?"

After what feels like an eternity since their Wild Card loss to the Baltimore Ravens way back on January 6th, the Indianapolis Colts, along with rest of the NFL, are preparing for the start of the 2013-2014 season which begins with the first preseason games August 11th.

Evansville area Colts fans like myself will get the chance to watch three of the teams four games thanks to WTVW Local 7 who will broadcast the team's first game against the Buffalo Bills at 12:30PM on Sunday, August 11th, their third game against the Cleveland Browns at 6PM on Saturday, August 24th, along with their fourth and final game of the preseason against the Cincinnati Bengals at 6PM on Thursday, August 29th.

Admittedly, the preseason isn't the most exciting football of the season, and the games don't do anything more than give the coaching staff an opportunity to figure which 53 players will makes the team's regular season roster, but it's football, and that's all that matters.

If you aren't home to catch the games on TV, you can still catch all the action live on our sister-stations, The River City Rocker 103GBF, and Newstalk 1280 WGBF-AM.

So are you ready for some football? You better believe I am.
