Little Girl Defends Home with Pink Rifle

I came across this story of a little 11-year-old girl who tried to defend herself from ARMED BURGLARS with a PINK rifle! 3 men broke into the house while the little girl was there and at first she hid but they saw her. So, she ran into her mom's room, locked the door and grabbed her mother's pink, bolt action rifle in an attempt to defend herself! When she RAN OUT of the the room to try and confront the burglars, they had already fled the scene and were later apprehended.

The little girl said her mother and just taught her how to shoot the rifle and she felt ready to use it. First of all, call me a coward but if burglar break into my house when I'm alone and I have a chance to leave, I'M GONE! You can have this stuff (just don't take my Playstation 3) ! Do you think the little girl did the right thing or should she have just tried to escape?
