Before you load the family into the car for the annual fireworks display along the Ohio River, there are some things you need to leave behind.

According to the City/County Government Website the following items are not allowed at the riverfront during the fireworks display:

  • Pets or animals of any kind
  • Water pistols, squirt guns or water balloons
  • Bicycles, scooters, skateboards, roller-blades (I would assume this to include hoverboards & segways as well)
  • Any item that can be viewed as hazardous. This will be at police discretion
  • Personal fireworks

In addition to the items banned from the event, it should also be noted that coolers & backpacks may be subject to search. If you see anything suspicious you are encouraged to notify a uniformed officer working the event or immediately call 911.
