Golden Globe Award-winning actress (that's got a nice ring to it, no?) and pop superstar Lady Gaga made a rather thrilling announcement last night: Her next studio album, code name #LG5, is coming this year.

Following her Best Actress win for her work on American Horror Story: Hotel last night during the 2016 Golden Globes ceremony, Gaga confirmed what most Little Monsters (including us!) were hoping to hear: "I am putting out an album this year. I won’t tell you when!” she told reporters backstage, according to Entertainment Weekly.

And while she's still sorting out the overall look for the new era, she certainly counts her experience of playing The Countess on AHS: Hotel as an influence: “I don’t know that you yet know what I will look like for my next album, as I’m still creating all of those things. It’s something that is a gradual change always with me,” she told reporters.

“What was nice about playing The Countess is it reminded me that in my own life and in my music, I’m always — at times — playing a character, and I become them fully. And living inside of her was liberating, I’ll tell you, because she doesn’t give a sh– about anything.” We certainly wouldn't be mad if The Countess also inspired her to return to her darker Fame Monster days.

As fans might already know, Gaga's been working on her fifth studio album following 2013's ARTPOP for the past few months with the likes of RedOne and Chic legend, Nile Rodgers.

We're happy to wait until you're ready, Gaga! Just don't ANTI us.
