Kat’s Winter Skin Trick Using Coconut Oil
With the cold weather sticking around a little longer than we’d all like, I thought I would share my go to trick to relieve winter skin.
One of the worst parts about the winter weather is the havoc that it wreaks on our skin. There is a little trick that I learned about a year or so ago, and I wanted to share it with you. Coconut oil. That’s it. Coconut oil is awesome for just about everything. Now, I am not a doctor, but I have done some research and have even consulted with a few skin care professionals. Coconut oil isn’t a miracle cure but it’s close. It has antibacterial, antimicrobial and antifungal properties, and it makes an excellent daily moisturizer. It is also far less expensive than almost any over the counter beauty treatment, and doesn’t contain any chemicals. There are numerous brands and there are “extra virgin” varieties, but the kind that I buy costs about $6 in the cooking oil of Walmart. It has changed my life! I use it on my super dry legs, and as a hair conditioning mask when I need it. Want to learn more? A quick Google search of the benefits of coconut oil should do the trick.
