Kate Middleton Is in Labor With the Royal Baby
The Royal Baby is on the way.
Prince William’s adorable wife, Kate Middleton (Duchess Catherine of Cambridge, if you’re fancy), is in labor, readying to deliver the third-in-line to the throne.
Us Weekly reports that Middleton checked into the Lindo Wing at St. Mary’s Hospital in London. Incidentally, she entered through the Cambridge entrance, which is where the late Princess Diana entered to deliver William back in 1982.
The palace released a statement confirming that the Great Kate Wait is about to come to an end:
“Her Royal Highness The Duchess of Cambridge has been admitted this morning to St. Mary’s Hospital, Paddington, London in the early stages of labor. The Duchess traveled by car from Kensington Palace to the Lindo Wing at St. Mary’s Hospital with The Duke of Cambridge.”
Two protection vehicles arrived at the hospital at approximately 5:30 AM with Kate and Wills following at about 6:00 AM.
The Palace will post a statement on an easel at Buckingham Palace once the as-yet genderless baby is born, but one crucial bit of info may still be missing: Us Weekly reports the couple may “take some time” to choose an appropriate name for the tyke. Because, you know, nine months wasn’t long enough.
Middleton is expected to have a natural birth; a royal aide reported that “things are progressing normally.” If you’ve ever had to sit through ‘The Miracle of Life’ in health class, that means it’s pretty gross in there … but we’re sure Middleton will find a way to make it look classy and effortless.
