Kat and Her Husband Are Ready for Spring
Spring cannot get here soon enough! We had a break from the cold over the weekend, and Mike and I took the opportunity to work on the plot for our garden!

I will be totally honest with you. I have never in my life planted a garden. Lucky for me, my husband has some experience with this sort of thing. The closest that I have ever come was one year when I tried my hand at planting a few in herbs in pots on my front porch, but the squirrels ate them before the plants were able to get more than an inch tall!

With the break in the weather, Mike got motivated – which motivated me to help! He broke out the garden tools, and the tiller and set out to rake up the leaves that were 2 feet deep across the back yard of the new place. Once all of the leaves were cleared, he got busy with the tiller! Now we have a nice plot of freshly turned soil in preparation for our garden. Since we like to cook together, the garden will be a welcome addition to the new place. We’re hoping to grow potatoes, tomatoes, peppers, jalapenos, squash, zucchini, cucumbers, snap peas, and green beans along with some herbs to use in our cooking as well. Just call us Farmer & Mrs. Adams!
