In an effort to continue their 90-plus year mission of improving the lives of women and children in the Tri-State, Junior League of Evansville will be hosting the River City Rummage Sale inside the National Guard Armory this Friday and Saturday!

The event will feature a large variety of items for sale including furniture, electronics, clothing for both adults and children, housewares, and more according to a press release provided by the organization.

A "Preview Sale" will be held Friday night from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., before the full sale on Saturday from 7:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. Admission for Friday night is $5.00 per person, and only $1.00 per person on Saturday. Consider the higher fee on Friday like a "V.I.P." charge. If you want to be one of the first people allowed to look over what's available and scoop up the good stuff, you're going to pay a premium price.

Which of course is totally OK since the money raised for the event goes to a great cause! As in previous years, Junior League will use the proceeds to continue to provide "small grants, and hundreds of volunteer hours to local not-for-profits." Previous recipients of Junior League fundraising efforts include Little Lambs, Ark Crisis Child Care Center, and Albion Fellows Bacon Center among others.

The National Guard Armory is located on 3000 Division Street near the intersection of the Lloyd and Vann Avenue.
