Johnny Depp is NOT in Evansville or the Tri-State!

Like many of you, I woke up to people sharing a Facebook post about Johnny Depp being in the Tri-State. However, the star of the Pirates of the Caribbean and Alice in Wonderland is not in the area.

The above was posted by a Facebook page called the Tri-State Beet. While the post certainly seems believable enough, the Beet is actually a satirical news source for the Tri-State. Also, if Depp were anywhere near the area, we would have heard about it from other media outlets and I'm sure the "East Side Sushi Restaurant" would have posted something about one of the hottest movie stars stopping by for dinner.

Basically, if you were going to call into work in order to hunt Mr. Depp, looks like you are just going to have to save those sick days for a different star.
