Jay Z is dropping a new album? There’s a new marketing campaign spreading across New York City and if you ask Twitter users, it could mean a new Hov project is on the way.

A new series of ads featuring the numbers “4:44” have popped up across city, appearing on billboards, subway station signs and subway walls. While it's uncertain what the numbers represent, some point at Jay Z’s birthday being Dec. 4, Beyonce’s on Sept. 4, the couple having married on April 4 and the rapper’s last album, “Magna Carta Holy Grail” releasing on July 4.

Adding to the mystery is a tweet from user @StaceyHashh who said their was a music video casting call for a Jay Z video in Los Angeles. Although Hov hasn’t revealed any new info about a new record, various hip-hop artists have hinted at it.

Swizz Beatz recently posted a photo of himself with Jay with a caption that read, “They don’t even know what’s about to happen Album ModeZone.” The rapper was also spotted with producer Zaytoven in the studio.

With performances at the Austin City Limits and Made In America music festivals scheduled for the summer, along with a new tour deal with Live Nation, it’s not far-fetched to believe the New York City rapper is working on another album.
