Something that should be apparent just from watching the Guardians of the Galaxy movies is that James Gunn is a dude who likes to have fun. He’s the kind of director who posts tons of updates on his movies on social media, including the occasional tricky misleading clue, and loves to stay in contact with his fans. Which is why, when someone contacted him on Instagram pretending to be Marvel chief Kevin Feige, Gunn went along with it, and posted screenshots afterward for all of us to enjoy.

“The other night some kid pretending to be Kevin Feige, the President of Marvel Studios, contacted me on Instagram,” Gunn wrote in his Facebook post. “As I was watching a TV show I wasn't particularly involved him, and as I have the maturity of a twelve year old, I decided to troll him.”

The results of this encounter are pretty hilarious, and I definitely lost it at “I’m calling a meeting” “No I’m calling a meeting.” I sure hope the real Kevin Feige had a good laugh at this.

But wow, how about those spoilers, huh?? Groot getting beheaded? Popeye? Gilbert Gottfried? This is some juicy stuff. I wonder if this person actually thought Gunn was serious about any of it. They seem to have had some kind of agenda — they want the Spider-Man moivies (sic) to be “like no other marvel movie”? What could that possibly mean? Obviously they didn’t like Gunn’s Venom idea that much…

While we wait for Guardians Vol. 3, at least we have Gunn’s online presence to tide us over. He even posted a cool photo today:
