IU fans had a reason to cheer last night as the Hoosier's had an impressive showing with a 79-66 win over New Mexico State in their first trip back to the "Big Dance" in four years.

Jordan Hulls (pictured above) led the way with 22 points while Washington, IN native Cody Zeller added 6 points of his own along with 6 rebounds and 4 assists. They face a tough second round match up Saturday night at 6:10 Evansville time against Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU), last year's Cinderella team who made it all the way to the Final Four as a 12th seed, the same seed they find themselves in this year. That game will air live on TBS.

I filled out four brackets this year. Two of them have IU losing to VCU, one has them winning, and my "long shot" bracket has them not only beating VCU,  but beating Kentucky in the Sweet 16 to advance to the Elite 8 where I have them losing to Duke. It's one of those picks that will either make me look like a completely idiot or a total genius.
