Is Evansville Affected by Newly Announced Macy’s Store Closures?

Is the Eastland Mall location safe?

Today, retail-outlet Macy's announced more store closures and that they are cutting more than 5,000 jobs. This was reported by MSN Money. According to the report, the seven stores announces for closure are:

Miami (Downtown), Miami

The Oaks, Gainesville, Fla.

Novato (Furniture), Novato, Calif.

Honey Creek Mall, Terre Haute, Ind.

Birchwood Mall, Fort Gratiot Township, Mich.

Fountain Place, Cincinnati

Burlington Town Center, Burlington, Vt.

As you can see, it appears the Evansville location is safe for the time being, however, with the closure of the Terre Haute store, it shows that these closure are creeping closer to our city.
