I am officially a quitter! Before I tell you where I am with my success, I want to send out a BIG THANK YOU to all of my friends and family who have offerred up ALL KINDS of moral support! That has been the BIGGEST help of ALL!!!!

I am in the middle of day 4 without a cigarette. In fact to be more precise... thanks to  the Quit-N-Tell mobile app that I'm using on my IPhone... I can tell you that it has been 3 days and 19 hours since I last smoked. I have saved $21, and I have NOT smoked 75 cigarettes!!! Seeing the figures has really made a BIG impact on me. 75 cigarettes! I knew I was smoking a lot, but 75?!?!

Now, I won't sit here and pretend that this ia easy. This is honestly one of the hardest things that I have ever done! There are lots of choices for stop-smoking aids... Pills, gum, E-cigs... I am using the patch and it really is helping with the nicotine cravings.

The HARDEST part so far for me are all of the "Old Habits." You really don't realize how many events and steps in your day that incorporate smoking, until you quit. I find myself in the car and randomly reaching for the pack that isn't there... or looking for them before I leave the house. THESE habits, because they are psychological are going to take a little more time and effort to kick. I literally have to REPROGRAM all of the little day-to-day things that I use to do. Now instead of a morning smoke, I take a morning walk.

I also have a rewards program in place for myself! After a week, I am going to treat myself to a pedicure. After 6 weeks, a new tattoo! And after 6 months, I am going to invest in having my teeth professionally whitened. PLUS all of the money that I will save is REALLY going to come in handy this summer!
