Have you heard about 40 Bags in 40 Days Challenge? The idea sounds like a pretty simple way to de-clutter the house just in time for Spring cleaning.

^^^This is how I feel when I think about trying to de-clutter my house. ^^^

I moved into my house last February, and while I would have liked to have de-cluttered before I packed to make the move, it just didn't happen that way. In fact, since moving in last year, there are still unpacked boxes tucked away in the garage and basement. Now, if you're like me, you've probably heard the old adage, "if you haven't used it in a year, you don't need it..." or something to that effect. Well, let me tell you, there are a lot of things in the Mykals house that haven't been seen in a year, much less used. Unfortunately, I feel overwhelmed by it all. I get anxious. There is a feeling of impending doom, and I start to think to myself that there is no way that I can tackle this nonsense on my own.

And then I ran across the blog "40 Bags in 40 Days 2014 Challenge." The premise is pretty simple behind the idea - clean & de-clutter one area of the house each day... for 40 days. Basically, break it down into manageable parts, and if you miss a day, it's no big deal - just start again tomorrow. I think I might be able to handle my clutter like this.

Am I the only one with unmanageable clutter? What about you? Do you have things tucked away - unused for ages - but you just can't part with them?
