How Late Do You Leave on Your Christmas Lights? Melissa Awesome and Listeners Weigh In!

I went driving around with my boyfriend and his family on Saturday night at 10:00 and there were only a few houses with their lights still on, is there a rule we don't know about?!

Here's what I say:

I don't have a set time I turn my outside Christmas lights out.  Sometimes I leave them on all night, but most of the time when I go to bed I turn them off.  But I'm a night owl so that's usually pretty late.  My parents have theirs set on a  timer to turn off at 11, and Sam's Dad has a timer to turn his off at midnight, so we were all pretty shocked when we saw that very few had their lights on at 10:00 on a Saturday, so we were wondering if there was some rule that we had never heard of!
