The sport of hockey is notorious for fights breaking out between opposing players. There's even an old saying that goes, "Let's watch the fight and see if a hockey game breaks out." That statement rang true Monday night in the opening seconds of a game between apparent archrivals, the New Jersey Devils and the New York Rangers.

Players for both teams started trash talking before the puck even hit the ice, and were clearly more interested in beating the daylights out of each other than actually playing the game. Watch as they wait for the puck to hit the ice like boxers waiting for the first round bell to ring.

I don't follow hockey, but seeing it live is certainly an entertaining experience and I strongly encourage you to check out an Evansville Icemen home game at The Ford Center when you have a chance. With two home games left before the playoffs (this Wednesday and Friday), now's the time to see what all the excitement is about.
