Congratulations to Hilary Duff! The singer/actress has signed to a new record label, she announced on Instagram today, March 28.

"I! Have! A! Record Deal!" she captioned the above photo, using the cheesy grin emoticon to convey her excitement. The emoji perfectly matches the thrilled look on Duff's face in the photo, as she pauses for a moment from signing her contract to look up and smile broadly at the camera.

Duff has kept fans up-to-date about the process of her new album, tweeting and Instagramming photos and news about the new music, which includes a song called 'Hurts,' which she recorded just days before announcing her split from her hockey player husband, Mike Comrie.

The former 'Lizzie McGuire' star was previously signed to Hollywood Records, the label under which she released her albums 'Metamorphosis,' 'Hilary Duff,' and 'Dignity.' She and the label parted ways in 2008 in an apparently "amicable" split.

In addition to her music, Duff has a lot going on right now: She is currently filming the TV Land sitcom 'Younger' and is spending time with her son, Luca, who just turned two. Still, life is not all roses for the singer, who is dealing with the aftermath of her separation from Comrie -- though the two seem as friendly as possible, given the circumstances. She is also fighting hard for the anti-paparazzi/child-advocacy law, 'No Kids Policy,' and almost had two paparazzos arrested after they tried to sneak pics of Luca.
