On February 17 and 24, starting at 9 a.m., Hangers will be accepting prom dress and accessory donations for EVSC students who otherwise might not be able to afford them. If you miss your chance in Feburary, don't worry. There are two other Saturdays  - March 3 and 10 - that Hangers will also be open for donations. All drives last from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Hangers is a student clothing resource that helps clothe children in the EVSC district. It provides students with clothes, shoes, and hygiene necessities. Shortly after Hangers was up and running, the idea of prom dresses came up.

Speaking as someone who went to several school dances, I know how expensive dresses can be. However, that's only part of the total expense. It's the shoes, the earrings and accessories, AND the dress. It's financially draining, but that doesn't mean anyone has to miss out on one of the biggest nights of their high school career.

Also, don't forget about the boys! Hangers will gladly accept donations of dress clothes for young men as well.

Students do not have to qualify to take advantage of the free dress and accessories. Donations to Hangers are also accepted, but not required.

Hangers is asking for volunteers to work the event. If interested, please sign up at:
