The first annual run replaces their "Ridin' for a Reason" event in hopes that more members of the community will get involved.

If you're not familiar the Henderson Rotaract, it is part of a larger, "international organization of young professionals and students committed to service and leadership in their communities and abroad," according to a press release from the organization.

"Runnin' for a Reason" is their largest fundraising effort of the year, with Matthew 25 Services being the recipient of this year's efforts. Matthew 25 is a non-profit based in Henderson that provides treatment, education, and support for those infected with or affected by HIV and AIDS.

Registration for the run can be done now online for $25 per person, or $15 per person for a team of five. Registration can also be done the day of the race, however the price jumps to $30 per person, and $20 per person for a team of five. Pre-registering also guarantees you'll receive a t-shirt for the event.

This year's race, which begins at 9AM on June 14th, will coincide with the annual W.C. Handy Blues and Barbecue Festival which organizers hope will increase participation.
