Since June is National Shelter Cat Adoption Month, I am going to feature kitties all month long for our adoptable pet of the week. Meet little Tres Nubbins. Such a unique name for such a unique little kitty...

Tres is only about 5-6 weeks old, and was brought to the Humane Society in Henderson County because he's 'different.' See, Tres Nubbins only has 3 fully developed legs. One of his rear legs is nothing more than a little nub. Tres will need a very special person or family to take him into their home... someone who can love him just the way he is, flaws and all.

Right now, one of the momma cats in the shelter has taken Tres in as her own. The shelter would like to see Tres & Momma Kitty adopted together, or at the very least fostered together until little Tres is weened. Please keep in mind that Tres Nubbins will likely require veterinary care and treatment, and may even have to have the remainder of his nub amputated.
