Harry Potter Most-Successful Movie Franchise Ever
With the release of the “final” Harry Potter movie a few weeks ago, the lil’ wizard (or whatever he is) has now become the face of the most-successful movie franchise of ALL TIME!!

Although I have never seen one of his movies, I was curious to find out who he dethroned to take his place as King of Cinema. The results were fairly surprising to me, so here is a list of the top 20 movie franchises of all time. This list is based on box office performance, not personal preference.
*It should also be noted that this list is accurate as of November 2010, so franchises like Transformers, X-Men, Pirates of the Caribbean, and even King Potter will be negatively affected since they’ve released movies this year.
