You've probably seen people sharing things about the Harry Potter series coming to Netflix on Nov. 1st. While this may seem like a great way to get over the post-Halloween blues, sadly, don't be look for The Boy Who Lived on the streaming service.

 

I can see how you might be confused given that the officially Netflix account is even saying they are coming. It is technically true that some regions are getting the films, but the US isn't one of them.

The last place that had the streaming rights to the series was HBO, but that deal ended at the end of June. Currently, the only places to reliably stream the series is by renting each movie on Amazon or iTunes.

Or you can pop in those DVD's or Blu-rays that you've had collecting dust.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but hopefully Harry and his friends find a streaming home very soon!
