Since opening its doors on January 18, 2010, Evansville’s Ronald McDonald House ~ Serving Tri-State Families has served over 2,000 critically ill children, their families and extended families at its location at 3540 Washington Avenue. The charity, whose mission is to create, find, and support programs that directly improve the health and well being of children and their families in our region relies solely on public donations and could not operate without the generous support of regional companies, individuals, and organizations.

The Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Ohio Valley, Inc. was chosen as one of the non-profit organizations permitted to have a preview/fundraising event at the new Ford Center.

A “Halloween Happy Hour” is the appropriate theme for the organization’s event this Thursday, October 27th beginning at 5:30pm. The “Happy Hour” will feature live musical entertainment by local jazz band “The Funk” and food samples or “Treats” from 20 area Restaurants. In addition, the Nick Nackery will provide a Halloween costume preview thanks to the supportive students at the University of Evansville and USI.

“We are so thankful for the generous support of our sponsor Shoe Carnival and the opportunity to host a terrific event thanks to VenuWorks & the Ford Center.” “The area restaurants have been most supportive in donating their food samples – all to help us continue the important work of the Ronald McDonald House Charities in Evansville.” Those restaurants include: Ri Ra, Acropolis, Riverview by Firefly, Kan Pai, Main Gate Sports Bar, Max & Erma’s, The Cookery, Spudz-n-Stuff, Salad World, Twilight Bistro, Angelos, Rafferty’s, Greeks Pizza, Emge’s Deli, Subway, Fazoli’s, Madeleine’s, Krispy Kreme, Piece of Cake, and Cold Stone. * There will be a signature drink and a cash bar available throughout the evening. Admission is only $20 and ALL PROCEEDS go to Evansville’s Ronald McDonald House ~ Serving Tri-State Families & Beyond!
