Goebel Farms Honors Carrie Fisher with Corn Maze

This year, Goebel Farms has decided to honor Carrie Fisher as Princess Leia in their yearly fall corn maze! Carrie Fisher, who is best known as Leia Organa in the Star Wars franchise, passed away last December. To keep her legacy alive and to appeal to fans from all around the Tri-state, Jeremy Goebel designed an intricate corn maze.

According to the Evansville Courier and Press, Jeremy has been designing these corn mazes for 16 years and had this to say about his latest Star Wars creation, “I’ve always been a Star Wars fan and I just wanted to pay tribute to Carrie Fisher."

The story of the corn maze that honors Carrie Fisher as Princess Leia has traveled pretty quickly from places online from Nerdist to Time.com.  Who knew that one of Evansville's best artistic achievements of 2017 would come in the form of corn?!
