GLVC Tournament with Deaconess Hospital Returns to Evansville March 7-10

Back in the day (circa the late '90's, early 2000's), the Great Lakes Valley Conference Men's and Women's Basketball Tournament was a yearly event at Roberts Stadium and hosted some great games between local rivals, USI and Kentucky Wesleyan. After a few years away, its set to make its return to Evansville.

Games for the 2013 Deaconess Hospital GLVC Tournament begin on Thursday, March 7th and continue on through Sunday, March 10th and are broken up into sessions with the Men's championship game scheduled for 1pm on Sunday, the 10th and the Women's championship game scheduled for immediately after at 3:30pm.

Part of the weekend includes the first ever March on Main Festival, a free community event the whole family can enjoy. Activities include the Family Fun Fest on Saturday, March 9th from 11am-5pm which will feature the Hadi Funster Clowns, inflatables, live music, including a performance from the Boom Squad at 12:30pm, and a cornhole tournament.

Also included through the duration of the GLVC tournament is the Main Street Crawl which is basically a pub crawl where you collect stamps from participating businesses along Main Street for the chance to win great prizes, including cash!
