Take a look at some of Kat's past Halloween costume masterpieces.

For me, Halloween is the best holiday of the entire year. It's when I get to be creative and make something out of nothing... or sometimes out of other things. I have been dressing up for Halloween as long as I can remember, and yes, even as an adult. I have dressed up as a witch, fairy and vampire. I have been a pirate, school girl and La Catrina. I've also most recently been Captain America and last year, the Queen of Hearts! This year I plan to dress up twice - once as a Kitty Kat and also as a baby doll. Here are some pictures of my Ghosts of Halloween Past:

Young Vampire Kat (and Fairy Mini Me)

This is circa 2002. I died my hair black and went as a vampire. My daughter was a Fairy Princess that year.

Dark Fairy Kat

In 2006 I wore a fierce pair of big black combat boots and some extra big black fairy wings. Add in some glitter, and I was a dark fairy.

Pirate Kat

This year consisted of a pink peasant top, a waist cincher and some red fabric to make my headband and waistband. This was around 2007.

School Girl Kat

Circa 2008. I rocked the plaid skirt, button down shirt, cardigan, knee socks and the cutest red platform mary jane shoes!

Dead Cheerleader Kat

2009 was the year that I went as a dead cheerleader.I was rocking a plaid skirt, pig tails and pom poms.

Vampire Kat

Fast Forward to 2012 and I once again dressed in all black, slapped on some red eye shadow and broke out my fangs.

La Catrina Kat

2013 brought about something I had always wanted to try - Dia De Los Muertos makeup. This look took me a couple of hours to pull together but I was really pleased with the final product. It was really more about the makeup than the outfit.

Pinup Captain America

In 2014, my friend Nikki put together the corset/bra portion of my costume and another friend made the shield for me. I pulled together the rest of the look using cool accessories, including the helmet and boots which I painted myself.

Queen of Hearts

In 2015 I dressed as the Queen of Hearts! Using a corset bought online and a skirt that was given to me by a friend, I went to town with glittered hearts and glittered ribbon. I even decorated my shoes! I had so much fun making this costume and the best part! I was dressed with my friends Nikki and Mary as Disney Villains.
