Get Ready for the Franklin Street Gumbo Cook-Off

Get ready for some gumbo and help support local non-profits in the community.

In honor of Mardi Gras the Franklin Street Events Association will be hosting their Annual Gumbo Cook-off on February 7th. You can get your armband to take part and sample the gumbo from numerous local charities for just $10 by visiting businesses along Franklin Street icludng Lamasco, Tine Man Brewing Company, Gerst House, Smitty's, Sportsman's, Thyme in the Kitchen and Leroy's Tavern. The proceeds from the event benefit 13 local non-profit charities. Make plans to be on Franklin Street this Saturday.
