With the job fair approaching, and The Rob posting about his first job, I decided to dig into the vault of MySpace.com to dig up some photos of me at my first job!

My first job was at the craft superstore Hobby Lobby. I worked there from 2005 until 2007. I'm not saying it was the worst job in the world but I will say that I'm glad don't work there anymore. During my year and a half at the Lobby of Hobby, I discovered that craft people are some of the most terrifying people in the world.

Here are some things that happened while I was working there:

1. I had yarn thrown at me.

2. I was told to go to hell on a regular basis if scrapbook paper/paint/fabric wasn't on sale.

3. Loading Christmas trees into a fully packed Toyota Matrix can be done as long as you roll down at least one window.

4. Ladies Restrooms are an absolute disaster pit of filth and sadness.

And my favorite thing that happened:

5. Because they are a Christian company, they tell you to do everything for and unto Him. Including sweeping the floors. I was told to "Sweep for Jesus."

It wasn't all bad, the girls in the pictures (play on playa) are still my friends to this day. Hobby Lobby was that perfect late-teen's job where you try to figure yourself out and accidentally make lifelong friendships in the process. There are definitely worse ways I could've spent two years of my life. I regret nothing (except that horrible shirt).
