Gavin’s Celebrity Encounter: Gallagher!

I had a really fun run-in with a comedy LEGEND!

After being super bummed that I missed Jason Marsden on Friday (He played Thackery Binx in Hocus Pocus), I was fortunate enough to run into the super-nice guy and comedy legend, Gallagher!

If you are too young for Gallagher, his schtick was smashing watermelons with a huge hammer. He also had some other prop-comedy but it was all built around smashing watermelons with a huge hammer.

While my comedy tastes have transitioned over the years, I wasn't going to turn down a photo-op with one of the earliest comedians I remember.

Gallagher was super nice and took photos with anyone who asked. All in all, it was a pleasant interaction.
