Gavin’s Celebrity Encounter: Don Mattingly!

Don Mattingly was cool enough to stop by the station and take a photo!

One of baseball's best players, Don Mattingly, also happens to be from Evansville. I'm sure you already knew that considering he is very involved in our community. He stopped by the station to record some promos on Wednesday and was nice enough to take a photo with me:

Unfortunately, the photo didn't turn out great (and I didn't realize it until afterwards). I just like telling people that my face was still teleporting in. Don was super nice though and took photos with everyone. He even played catch with Dave from WKDQ (which is surprising because Dave is terrible at all sports and embarrasses himself frequently).

I also politely asked that he call his former-employer, the Los Angeles Dodgers, and politely ask that they start losing to the Cubs. I think he may have done that for me. Go Cubs Go!
