Eville Con is the area's largest anime convention and 2016 was their biggest year yet! For an event that started out as a one-day event at Central Library (with an attendance of 300), it has become one of the premiere anime conventions in the country. This years event took place March 18th-20th at the Old National Events Plaza.

Eville Con offered a wide-variety of panels discussing different anime subjects and panels that were hosted by well-known anime voice actors from such shows a Pokemon and Attack on Titan. Also, because you absolutely had money burning a hole in your pocket, they offered a large vendor room where you could spend all the money. Things you could buy ranged from actual swords to rare anime DVDs to stuffed animals of your favorite Pokemon.

One of the highlight's of the convention was the Cosplay Contest where convention attendees showed off costumes they had been working on all year. Some of the stand-outs were Cloud Strife from Final Fantasy 7, Rey from Star Wars Episode 7 (go Jocelyn!) and Optimus Prime from Transformers. Everyone put a lot of work into their costumes and it was amazing to see all of their hard work on display.

Since the convention ran past midnight Friday and Saturday, they offered up several events for the night owl convention go-er. They offered several adult themed panels and hosted two rave-style dance parties so you could cut loose on the dance floor. They also offered Speed Dating and Speed Friending so you could have a potential love connection at the con.

Overall, I had an absolute fantastic time at Eville Con this year. In years past, I wasn't able to attend as much as I would have liked but I definitely rectified that this year. Also, this was Ryan O'Bryan's first convention EVER and I'd like to say he had a great time. On Friday, we broadcasted live from the con and you can check out that video below! If you get a chance to go to Eville Con next year, you should absolutely go!
