Franklin Street Events Association President, Leah Spivey, and Vice President, Amy Word stop by the studio to talk about the first ever Franklin Street Mardi Gras Crawl.

Personally, I think this is an idea long overdue. As someone born and raised on the west side, and has spent more than my fair share of time and money inside Franklin Street bars like Hagedorn's, Smitty's, and Sportsman's, I've always thought Franklin Street had the potential to be Evansville's version of Broadripple in Indianapolis, Kirkwood in Bloomington, Beale Street in Memphis, Tennessee, or even Bourbon Street in New Orleans. Simply a row of bars, clubs, and shops all within walking distance of each other where people get together to have some fun.

Apparently I'm not the only one who thought that as you'll hear from Leah and Amy. Find out more about the event, including other non-bar businesses that will be open, and where you can pick up a wrist band so you can join the fun in the complete, unedited interview below.
