Fly with Kat Mykals in a Team AeroShell Stunt Plane [VIDEO]

On Thursday, Kat went up into the sky with the AeroShell Acrobatic Team for some mid-air acrobatics!

What an incredible experience! I have never in my life felt so exhilarated as I did when I was upside down mid-air. It was a combination of adrenaline, excitement and terror! Luckily, I didn't get sick (I was worried about that) and I didn't drop any F-bombs either (I was really really worried about that!)

I flew in the front plane with Team Lead, Mark Henley who is a 20 year airshow veteran. His flying record includes 80 different types of planes and is a certified flight instructor as well. Mark, along with his twin brother, Alan, co-founded the AeroShell Acrobatic Team.

All of this excitement is in preparation of the Owensboro Air Show going on this weekend! If you can't wait for the weekend, Friday you can get up close & personal with the planes and their pilots at Owensboro Regional Airport from 4p-8p. Admission is $2 with kids 10 & under free.  You can see several of the performers take the sky at dusk, including Team AeroShell. You can catch Team AeroShell during the airshow on Saturday and Sunday in Owensboro. The airshow runs Saturday & Sunday 1p-4p and admission is free to the public to view along the Owensboro Riverfront.
