I drive a 2007 Ford Edge. It has been encrusted with sticky cereals, juice, random trash, things I probably need and even a couple of college textbooks still linger in the back. (I graduated in 2004 so I'm not sure where they came from.) It's basically a dumpster on wheels - what you'd want to be driving if the Zombie Apocalypse happens. All provisions you'll need can be found somewhere in the back seat. The crazy thing is, I clean it out once a week or so! I open all the doors and let the leaf blower go full blast! But, you know, children...

Why am I telling you all this? I guess to let you know that there are people in the world who actually have really nice cars that can be entered into car shows. They don't have open packs of lunchables sitting in their consoles or unrolled rolls of TP spread generously though out. If you have a really nice car or would just like to experience life on the other side, head on down to Bridget's Bird Land at 624 E. Diamond Ave. in Evansville from 4-7 PM on Sat, Sept 24, 2016, for the First Annual Car Show to support Vets Honoring Vets.

Vets Honoring Vets are military veterans who take time to help others who have served. They put up flagpoles, do yard work, and take care of those who have taken care of our country.
