Officials with the West Side Nut Club Fall Festival want to remind festival goers that pets are not allowed during the festival.

During a media dinner and information session, officials with the Nut Club and the Evansville Police Department reminded everyone that pets are not allowed down on Franklin Street during the Fall Festival. Service Animals will be allowed.

Anyone that brings a pet will be asked to leave the festival. If they fail to leave they could be cited for breaking a city ordinance.

One police officer told the media a story about one festival goer who brought their pet snake. They were asked to leave and after several attempts to have this person leave, they were arrested for disorderly conduct.

Pets will be allowed on Saturday, October 10th starting at 9am for the Pet Parade. Pets will then not be allowed after the parade. Sign up your pet HERE
