Facebook Offers IPO, Releases Financial Info

That's right, you can now own a part of Facebook!

After being rumored for months, Facebook has now offered their Initial Public Offering to potential buyers.  Now that the company is publicly traded, financial information regarding the social media phenomenon.

Mark Zuckerburg, Facebook CEO, is now worth 28 billion dollars.  That makes him expected to be the ninth richest person in America.

Initial investors that made an investment of 1 million dollars when Facebook was in its infancy have made an incredible return on their investment.  That $1 million is now worth about $5 billion!

Last year Facebook grossed $3.7 billion.  They turned over $1 billion into profit.  Over 80% of that is from ads.

Facebook has nearly 850 million users logging on at least once per month.
