Registration has begun for the 2nd annual 5K walk/run that will raise money for the Evansville Vanderburgh School Corporation. Save a few bucks and get signed up now!

The event is scheduled for Saturday, October 22nd from 1p-3p at Central High School on Evansville's north side, and will include a 5K walk/run around the school along with a one-mile walk and a Kid's Dash. Not only is it a fundraiser for EVSC schools, it also is meant to create awareness of the need for a healthy lifestyle that includes physical activity.

You can get registered all the way up to the day of the event, but it's always better to register early. If you get signed up before September 30th it'll only cost $8 for students and $20 for adults. Your registration fee will get you a special t-shirt (while supplies last).

Proceeds will be split up among the EVSC high school districts, based on student participation. The district with the highest percentage of student walkers/runners will receive the biggest chunk of the money.
