The Evansville-Vanderburgh School Corporation announced on Twitter Friday morning the cancellation of tonight's basketball game between Central and Bosse after online threats aimed at Central surfaced on social media recently.

The announcement covers all freshman, junior varsity, and varsity games scheduled to be played at Central this evening.

The Corporation had already cancelled classes at the school early Friday morning due to the threats.

It's been a tough week for the school, to put it mildly, after former student, Roman Kellough was found dead on campus Tuesday morning from a self-inflicted gun shot wound. His family has set up a GoFundMe account to help cover funeral expenses.

The Evansville Police Department announced through their Facebook page Friday morning they are aware of the threats made toward the school and have investigators working diligently to identify the individuals responsible, and the credibility of the threats.

If you have any information regarding the threats that could be considered valuable to investigators, contact the EPD Tip Line at 812-435-6194.
