Veterans Invitational Soccer Tournament Opening Ceremonies at noon on November 1st at Goebel Soccer Complex on North Green River Road. This ceremony highlights the military and those honored on Veterans Day. The program features remarks from Mayor Winnecke, key note speaker retired Brigadier General Ron Kroeger, a 21-gun salute and taps, the firing of Howitzers by the Indiana Army National Guard, a flyover by WWII military aircraft and musical performances by the North High School Choir. Open and free the public – all U.S. veterans and their families invited to attend.

The Veterans Invitational Tournament begins that weekend with girls playing on November 3 & 4 and boys playing on Saturday, November 10 & 11. These two weekends will draw nearly 10,000 people to Evansville with teams traveling from as far away as Kansas, Michigan, Wisconsin and West Virginia. This will have an economic impact of over $3 million for Evansville and Vanderburgh County.
