The Office of Mayor Lloyd Winnecke in partnership with students from Central and Memorial High Schools announced a new city-wide bicycle sharing program for residents on Monday. On Wednesday, it was given national recognition with short write-up in USA Today.

Mayor Winnecke's Chief of Staff, Steve Schaefer shared the mention on Twitter:

The program is already in place in other cities around the country through the company, Zagster, and allows city residents to rent a bicycle from one of seven locations around the area to use for leisure, or simply to get from one place to another. Yearly, monthly, or hourly paid memberships are required to use the bikes.

For more information on how to use the service, visit the Zagster website.
