Evansville’s Albion Fellows Bacon Center Releases Statement in Wake of Kavanaugh Hearing

Today, the internet is emblazoned by Judge Brett Kavanaugh and Dr. Christine Ford's testimony in front of the Senate Judiciary Committee concerning the allegations of sexual assault perpetrated by Kavanaugh towards Ford in the 80's.

If you've been online, you've probably seen some pretty horrible things said about women who decide to wait years before disclosing details or blatant victim blaming.

In response, Albion Fellows Bacon Center has released this statement today:

When one decides to disclose a report of sexual violence, how they decide to disclose, and even if they decide to do so is rightfully up to them.
We hope that you always know we believe you. This is not your fault. We are here for you.
No one asks or deserves to be sexually assaulted — regardless of what they were wearing, where they were, who they were with or how much they had to drink.
