This weekend, the Evansville Shakespeare Players proudly present Hamlet and Rosencranzt and Guildenstern Are Dead at the D'Alto Studio of Performing Arts.

Here's the official synopsis of the shows:

Come experience Shakespeare’s sublimely haunting tale of intrigue, treachery and revenge and Stoppard’s hilarious take on the same play, presented in reparatory with the same cast. Evansville Shakespeare Players join forces with Last Minute Productions and D'Alto Studio of Performing Arts to present this unique entertainment experience!

Evansville Shakespeare Players will be presenting “Hamlet,” the tragedy of young Hamlet, a Danish prince mourning the loss of his father when he discovers that his mother has wed his uncle. Nearing madness, Hamlet must uncover the truth.

Last Minute Productions will be presenting “Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Dead, “ by Tom Stoppard. In this delightful play, two minor characters from “Hamlet” take center stage to show the audience their side of the story. Stoppard’s characteristic wordplay takes center stage in this battle of wits showing an oft times comedic view of the word.

Join Evansville Shakespeare Players and Last Minute Productions as they tell the tale from two very different points of view!
