The annual Fantasy of Lights to benefit Easter Seals Rehabilitation Center opens for business on Thanksgiving Day in Garvin Park, requiring the closing of several roads into the park.

The City of Evansville announced on Twitter Sunday afternoon that all roads leading into Garvin will be closed through the duration of the annual fundraiser which will wrap up it's season on New Year's Day.

As in year's past, the Fantasy of Lights will be open seven days a week during the following times:

  • Sunday through Thursday: 5:00 - 9:00 p.m.
  • Friday and Saturday: 5:00 - 10:00 p.m.
  • Christmas Eve: 5:00 - 10:00 p.m.
  • Christmas Day: 5:00 p.m. - 10:00 p.m.

Admission is $7 per vehicle up to six people, $10 for vehicles with seven to 14 people, and for those that bring a whole bus load of people (15 or more), admission is $25, according to the Fantasy of Lights Facebook page.

Admission can be paid at the main entrance of Garvin Park at the intersection of Main Street and Morgan Avenue, however advance tickets are available at all G.D. Ritzy's locations, or the Easter Seals Rehab Center on Bellemeade Avenue.

All proceeds from the event will help the Center continue their mission of assisting children and adults with disabilities.
