Evansville IHOP Celebrating National Pancake Day with Free Short Stacks for Charity

Free pancakes AND the opportunity to help sick kids? Where do I sign up?

IHOP restaurants across the country will celebrate the ninth annual National Pancake Day on by handing out free short stacks of their delicious buttermilk pancakes all day Tuesday, March 4th, 2014. This includes our own franchise at the corner of Burkhardt Road and Virginia Street on Evansville's east side.

Since beginning the annual event in 2005, the fundraiser has raised nearly 13 million dollars for Children's Miracle Network Hospitals including last year's haul of $3 million, a mark they hope to meet, or better yet exceed this year. The money collected from the Evansville location will benefit Riley Children's Hospital who provides services locally through a partnership with Deaconess Gateway Hospital in Newburgh.

To participate and get your free short stack, simply show up at IHOP between 7am - 10pm. Donations for Riley are not required in order to receive your hot cakes, but come on, if they're willing to give you free pancakes, you can toss in a couple of bucks for a great cause, right?
